Technology

Are you a technophile or a technophobe? I presume you're a technophile because you're writing on this blog. What do you like about technology, though? What could you not live without if it was taken away from you tomorrow?

Have a good week everyone

Paul

Hello everyone :)

Oh yes, I am a technophile! Actually, at the moment I am taking an informatics course to improve my skills. In my opinion, is really important in every day life and in all types of jobs.
Technology made the exchange of information become quicker anytime and anywhere.
The television, the mobile phone, the computer and the internet are ones of the most successful devises. We can have access to all kinds of information, buy all kinds of things, and speak with anyone around the world. With the messages and e mails we are able to send information and letters instantaneously and they have lower costs compared with posted letters.
I would have problems if the internet was taken away from me. With a computer I can keep a lot of documents, use the internet to check up the news, to do researches, catch up with my friends and so on. A computer has a lot of facilities which are really useful nowadays. Technology is a discovery that made life easier and is always developing, making difficult sometimes to catch up.

See you all on Monday!

Hi ;-)

I think I’m not a technophile nor a technophobe. I’m in between this two definitions.
I love technology but I’m not addicted.
For instance, I love internet. I think it’s the one thing that I couldn’t live without, since it has been invented. Of course, I wouldn’t die, but I would feel very disappointed without it.
I do almost all my communications on internet: banks, e-mails, looking for things I need to, shopping and I also have a blog.
I think technology came to make our lives easy and more comfortable.
When I was born, technology was very different from nowadays and I think the new generation is very lucky because of that!!
See you Monday!

To be perfectly honest I am not a big fan of technology, not even a close resemblance to an expert in new and modern technologies. I do not know why but I have never showed a great interest in this subject.

Of course, I know and understand how important technology is nowadays to everyone. Those who do not go along with it are often looked by society like ‘aliens from out of space’. The computer, the internet as well as the mobile phone, just to mention some of the most popular and common technological items, are everywhere and are an important part of our everyday life. Never the less, what was normal for most of us some years ago, for example to live without a mobile phone, now seems almost impossible for the majority of society, especially for the younger ones. People got used to it, because it really makes our lives easier.

However, like at other times, society seems to have lost the technology’s control and we ended up becoming hostages of the modern world. For example, problems with the internet may easily cause delays in a factory or a company normal work. Children spend their free time in front of a computer, playing playstation or using one of their two or even three mobile phones, typing messages to their friends.

I believe that technology is crucial for the developing world, but we must pay attention so that we may use it in our favour without being totally depended on it.

See you all tomorrow.

Hi everyone

I’m not a technophile and it’s fabulous when I forget my mobile phone somewhere.

However, I think technology bring us the opportunity to be everywhere, anytime, without restrictions. The globalization was possible because of the constant technology innovations. Furthermore, internet gives me the opportunity to be in touch with my friends who are in other countries.
On the other hand, technology makes people forget the pleasure of some things like read a newspaper, or go shopping to the “down town”,..

In fact, I can’t live without technology

See you tomorrow

Hello everyone!

I’m definitely a technophile. I like to be informed of every new gadget that comes on the market and if I like it and have the opportunity I don’t hesitate to buy it. Nowadays, I do not dispense my mobile phone, the Internet and computers.

I think that technology advances proved us that the human being is always completely unsatisfied with his results and because of that he can go further and further and dig more things to entertain himself. I believe that technology has arrived to make our lives easier, allowing us to do things more quickly and efficiently. But I keep thinking that we should be careful in order to not be captured by all the technology that live around us and leave behind the real world. In my opinion, we are facing a big risk because some can renounce to contact personally both people and nature, and they can loose the notion of reality.

See you on Monday!

Hello!

I’ve never thought how dependent of technology I am…
My phone mobile wakes me up every morning.
While I have my breakfast I watch the news on TV.
I go to work by car and during the trip I listen to music on the radio. When I arrive I turn on my computer and, first of all, I read the news on the internet. One of my tasks is to update HF site, so I work at the site back office. During the work day, I use the computer and the internet to carry on with my tasks. Once during 3 days we didn’t have access to the internet and files so we couldn’t work and we spent that time cleaning up and organizing some papers.
I also update the English blog and my personal one.

Am I a technophile?!

See you later.
