I think I felt independent since I was 2 years old. One of my brothers was born the day before my 2nd birthday, unconsciously I thought I was on one's own. I left my parents home when I was 18, I became a worker student and I'm self-supporting since that time. I wanted to earn my own money in order to do what I wanted. I had big wings and a strong will to fly, I believed the world was mine!
I took a degree in Foreign Trade and in French, I'm able to teach and to make translations of this language.
I've been working at the same enterprise for many years. I'm feel very comfortable, they helped me a lot, they gave me the opportunity to choose what to do. I'm working at the foreign department with several countries. I'm very well paid and from my writing-desk I can see the river through a big window and listening to my own music!
I never stopped to study. I studied Italian and Egyptology. I wrote a little articles to a travel magazine and sometimes I make french translations.
At the moment I'm studying English and Spanish. when I finish my spanish studies, I will study photography.
I can't live without learning something else!

Yesterday evening I went to "Convento São Bento da Vitória" with some friends to a theatre-dinner. It was so funny and interactive, with a fabulous words written by Herberto Hélder. I recommend it to you! It will be on stage until 27th January

My history (by Aldora Pinheiro)
I've always worked at the same company LIPOR (for more than 4 years) as a Biological Engineer.
I like to work at Organic Valorisation Department, firstly because it's something easy to do -reduce waste; secondly because it gives me the chance to visit other countries and meet new people; and thirdly it challenges me to speak in Portuguese and English to different public: on the radio, on TV, in magazines, on periodics and in Conferences.
After work I have a lot of things to do: at MONDAYS I have English classes, at TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS I have Gym and Guitar lessons and at WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS I have Sing and Swimming classes. At WEEKENDS (there are so little), I do housekeeping, shopping and receive some friends at home.
For the future, I hope I'll have my own business and work in other country.
As a greenfinger I spend some time in my ten square meters garden, but I like to watch football games too (I know that is strange for a girl), I love to read (at the moment, I'm reading "Onze minutos") and stay with family and friends.
Well, that's me... by the time comes you'll find more!

I was born in a small village near Penafiel City, that is a beautiful city about thirty kilometres from Porto, when I was six years old, my parents moved to Leça da palmeira where I did my primary and secondary studies, later I graduated in Engineering Electric and Computers.
Now I’m a married and I have 3 daughters, I lived near the sea in Lavra, which is in the suburbs of Porto.
I enjoy watching cinema, read scientific or technical books “when I have time, but these days it’s very difficult, my job and my family don’t let me free time for myself”, practising sport to recharge my biologic batteries “which where discharged by the hard working days”
I’ve worked in a Mobile Telecommunication Company (named Optimus) for ten years “that is the one that offer the best coverage, services and quality”, as a telecommunication Engineer, there I manage a team of engineers that has the responsibility of the Operation, configuration and maintenance of the core equipment, before that job I had worked in a wired Telecommunication Company, named PT (Portugal Telecom) for almost eight years, where I faced the digitalisation of the communications networks.
Working in a telecommunication company allow me to be on contact with constant evolution of telecommunication services and technology, this is amazing for the one who loves high-tech, because everything change quickly and we need to have a lot of technical training, some times in a foreign country.
For the future I’m seriously consider coursing an Executive Master in Innovation and entrepreneurship next year, but first I have to evaluate very well the advantages and disadvantages, the impact in my family, and the possibility of my company support the payment of this course.

To talk about me?! I go try!
My name there already all know: Joana. The surname is that it can be ignored: Mendes. So, Joana Mendes.
For some elements of the group I am sometimes called of "Miss Mogadouro." I’m not possessor of a rare beauty, or have a "Pantene hair" and much less the measures "86,60,86!" but yes because I have gone baptism like this for my first teacher of the institute, Fernando Simpson. The reason?! I judge that the form like I talk about my dear birthplace explains everything! I take advantage of the opportunity, for enthusiastically to advise you to visit it, not only Mogadouro, but the whole “Transmontano north-east”. It has beautiful landscapes, an incredible history, the ideal place to flee to the stress and to the pollution.
At this moment, I live with my brother in Baguim of Monte and I’m working in a private laboratory of pathological anatomy.
My academic life have begun in Mogadouro. I have made the primary and secondary school here and I left my parents home when I was 18 years old. After, I have entered in University in Lisbon where I have lived for 3 years. A fantastic city! Excuse me the ones that admire Porto! Still before entering for university, I have been in the Military Academia for two months. An arduous experience, but that have marked a lot my life.
In 2004 I asked for transfer to Porto where, after one year, I finished the course. My life of academic student have lasted only 3 years, because, first, I have done the bachelorhood so, I started to work while I has been doing the last year: the degree of licentiate.
I like what I do, nevertheless, in my area there are immense things that I will like to do, to vary and to learn more. However the job market is saturated and it’s not easy new opportunities appear. For not losing the rhythm and because I don't get to be stopped, since September of 2005, that I frequent the British Council and I don't spare too, my weekly departure to the gym and whenever opportunity appears I do some formations in the most several areas.
Personality...well...I won't be the best person to speak of me, but I judge that my sign says something about me: Leo. Fighter, very willing, organized, practice, methodic, sociable and friend of my friends. However, I am a lion with a heart soft: very affectionate, emotional and sensitive.

I have already read this book. To be honest, it wasn’t a history that enchants me. In the end, said me if you have liked.
The last one that I have read, it was “Equador”. That, yes! A beautiful and interesting book.
In that moment, I’m reading “A formula de Deus”. Very exciting, vitiated and pedagogic history.

Well, it's never easy to talk about ourselves, but I'm going to try do this "in a small paragraph"! (lol)
My name, as you know, it’s Rita Rebelo and I’m a young adult with 35 years old. I was born in Lisbon and I’m an only child (but not selfish as is used to say about the only child people!). My parents get divorced when I was 5 years old and at the age of 16 I moved to Porto with my father and his wife. I went to live in Maia, and I stayed there until now, where I live with my husband. I got married 9 years ago and I think its so good that maybe I married a little bit late! I have no children and I don’t intend to. Anyway, when I was young I dreamt about to be a Vet, but a couldn’t get marks to university, so I did a Marketing course. I work at Lipor for 4 year on the Communication Department where I’m not to far from my course.
The thing that I most like to do in my life is travel. Every extra money I have, I save it to travel. All my free time I dedicate to travel! I’ve been to Maldives, Thailand, Panama, Brazil, Indonesia and I go several to Spain. I like to ski and diving so, my holiday destinations are always connected with this two sports. I don’t like very much to study (I think I’m the opposite of Judite) but I like to contact with different cultures and people and learn new things with this experience. In the future, who knows, I would like to go abroad in a voluntary mission, for instance, to Asia to help people in difficulties. By now, I’ll stay here and try to travel as much as I can and try to be as happy as I can!

It’s an interesting topic, write about myself…
I’m 30 years old. I live in S. Pedro da Cova, and I always live there. It’s a village near Porto, it’s famous because their Coal mines.
After my father passed away I live only with my mother and my sister.
When I’m teenager I wanted to be journalist but unhappily it’s only a dream and I have an administrative course but I don’t work in that area. I have worked in a call center since 1999.
I like music, cinema, books, theatre, walk, travel, stay with friends and family, but I also need my space, to stay alone with my thoughts…
Despite the lack of time there goes my biography.
My life gave a movie…
I was born in Coimbra and I lived there 5 years. I have a sister younger than I and when my father integrated a Military Mission to Africa my mother returned to her homeland. We went to Celorico de Basto and lived there 12 years.
When I was 17 years old, a left home of my parents and was studying one year in Viseu. With 18 years I came to study in Porto and I have lived here since then. I studied nursing and finished the course began work at hospital. After two years of work started again the studies and I have a degree of licentiate in pharmacy while working. When finished these course I left the hospital and I have worked in Pharmacy. I worked at hospital 8 years and in pharmacy 6 years. Nowadays I´m working in a Pharmaceutical Company, which business are dispensing medicines from hospital. I have worked there for 4 years.
In this moment I´m living for my baby. He is a sweet, but needs attention all day. His life is briefing, crying and sleeping.
My preferences are travel, sleep, laugh and now my David.
