What would you do if .....

What would you do if you suddenly came into a lot of money? It's a difficult one to answer as it's not very probable but almost everyone I know thinks about it.

If it ever happened to me, well, who knows what would happen. I would probably buy a reasonably expensive flat in Porto overlooking the river and also an old flat in Bordeaux, probably. If I won the first prize in Euromillions that would leave me an awful lot of money, so I would probably set up my own business doing web design and I've always fancied breeding cats, especially Bengal cats (10% Asian Leopard). That would also mean I would have a lot of money for my favourite pastime, travelling. Oh dreams.............

First of all if lucky knocked at my door I would have opportunity to realize my best dreams. Considering that I won millions of euros with the Euromillions first prize, I would take some quantity to give away to my parents and brothers, enough to allow them at least to pay a good house and car, after that I would construct my own house in a quiet place near the beach, with a swimming pool and a big garden, then I would learn to sail and would buy a big sail-boat that would also allow me to cross the sea with my love “this is a romantic sentence” to know exotic places.
Even with all that money I would need to keep busy to avoid getting addicted on bad things, so I would set up my own business, something related to technology “Telecommunications, biotechnology, nanotechnology, etc”, but not a full time, I only would follow the business, and the executive decision would be made by administration board formed by the most qualified business administrators, well qualified human resources, in that way I would be contributing to the development of the my country and decrease the unemployment, creating some qualified job.
To conclude, I believe that most of the people look forward to win easy money, like for instance a first prize in Eurommilions, but when it happens, the life of that people become more complicated and annoyed, for lots of reasons, for instance they lost their privacy, the money in most of the cases aren’t well managed, and some years later people are at the same position or even worst than before they have won the easy money, etc.
The Easy money it’s good and makes ours lives more significant, but for that we mustn’t be jealous nor selfish, must be a concern about other people and social problem, and we can help others peoples not given away money, but creating conditions and opportunities, like for instance creating new employments.

Let's go to dream...

"The Love Nest"

If I won the Euromillions...

I would give up my job and I would have my dream's job, working freelance, travelling all over the world, taking the best photos and writing about my travels.

Then I would buy a house in Provence or in Tuscany, a house with a well-stocked library, which walls would be covered by wood shelves with lots of books. I would buy the painting named "The library" by Vieira da Silva, and I would put it there!
Around the house would be a garden without fences, with some fruit-trees and flowers...it would be there a table and comfortable chairs where I would take my breakfast, early in the morning, while I would read the newspapers, and then my books, hearing the birds' chirps and smelling the flowers' odour....
I would adopt three children...and it would be my love nest! I would live there with the man of my life till the end of our lives...

A very romantic life! I'm a romantic woman, yes...I AM!

If I won the first prize in Euromillions?!

So, it’s a very very small supposition, but will be really! I play every week, for 3 years.

Easy and HONEST money, everyone want! It would resolve a lot of problems and preoccupations. In my case, If I won huge quantities of money, I would do repairs in my parents’ house in Mogadouro, I would give a big farm and a fantastic holidays to my parents. I would give a big part to my brother and I would help all of my cousins. I would buy a small beach house and a bigger and comfortable house in place far off a big city. It would have a big garden with a lot of pets. I would do, too, some investment for develop my birthplace namely good access road.
After do a big travel, I would invested in my superior formation and I would like create a private investigation centre with the best Portuguese scientists, with the aim of find the cancer cure.

Like said Paul…. “Oh dreams!...”

P.S. My brother has just finished read my post and he has said “the first thing that I would buy would be an ass!” :)

What I would do if I came into a lot of money?
If I won the first prize in Euromillions I would buy a pharmacy, and I would contract a staff for work with me. I supervised the employers and managed the money (Wouldn’t easy!!!).
Second, I would buy a big house to receive my family and friends. One part of the money it would be for good upbringing of my son. Another money I would spend travelling a lot.
But, isn´t impossible to happen, because I don´t play in Euromillions. I don´t believe in easy money and I´m working every day to get a living and to have an honest life.

Hi everyone,

This week subject is also a little bit difficult for me, because it’s something that seems so, so, so, far away…., but, If I suddenly came into a LOT of Money I would invest it in something really profitable, to make sure that money wont finish, then I dived it with my parents and brother-in-low, to give them a comfortable life and I would sell all of my things in Portugal and travel around the world for many, many years. I would stay in each place the time that I wanted and then I travel to another place. When I became older, I fixed in a place, for sure an Asiatic country, and I would do voluntary work with disfavoured people. Of course, all of this with my husband! I would like to leave in a place were it was summer all year, near the beach.
I don’t care about good houses or good cars. I don’t have that dream. All I want is to leave with comfort, a good health assistance and peace of mind.
And it’s funny that last week we talked about that “the best things in life are free” but everyone dream about things that only money can buy!!! ;-)

See you tomorrow!

Hi people…

If I won euromilhões, I would realize some personal desires and one desire to help poor people.

About my personal desire, I would like to help my parents, travel a lot, and try to study architecture. I don’t know if I have ability to architecture, but I would like to discover this subject with more detail.

About help poor people, I don’t believe that give money to them is a good help, because the money end one day.

I believe that I would help them to be independent to earn money with their work. But generally, the first problem is starving and the second is knowledge to survive. So, I would like to create schools for poor people, specially children, and the first goal of the school is to supply food, and second is to supply knowledge to be independent.

But my school will be different from actual teach model. I think that actual model is inadequate by our stage or society evolution. It imposes information in an industrial style, but today our society is moving from industrial age to new age. The mass production is moving to creative personal production. So, in my school, all human creative potential need to be improve, but the school will not imposes what the people must to study, the people will decide it. An example, in many cities of Brasil, there are huge problems because they don’t have enough water. The people know what they need, water, but they don’t know how to get it and how to reserve it. So, the school of these cities searches and teaches different ways to find and to reserve water. So, more than teach math, history, etc, my school have to teach subject’s to help people to survive. Simple subjects like to produce food, to build, to cook.

What would you do if you suddenly came into a lot of money?

What a difficult subject. I don´t remember to win a game even Monopoly. When I bet in Euromillions, I put a cross in the box anonymous, so I wouldn´t have journalist at my door.
If I won a lot of money I would contract an economist to help me in it administration, because I need financial security.
Then, certain that I would have money for a long time, I think I would study my favourite subjects, then I would open my law office. I could contract a lawyer to be in office when I am travelling or when I massaging some client.
With a lot of money I could buy my grandfather´s house from my cousins. I would repair my grandfather´s house to my brother. I could give a stipend for my brothers’ studies.
Then I would travel around the world with my mother and I could return to some places where we have been.
